2024/25 James Tarkowski

Poor today - in many respects - I am afraid to say. That was possibly his worst performance for us, the only other one I can think of was the 4 - 1 home defeat against Brighton back in the 2022/23 season when he looked lethargic.

His tackle for the penalty was rather unnecessary, given that the options for the Bournemouth player were rapidly deminishing. The mix up for the second goal was also quite uncharacteristic of him, as was some of his poor passes (besides some of the tidy threaded balls he played through in the opening stages of the match).

I would still very much like to keep him, as I think our defensive record has improved with him in the side. Yet, if he had just performed like his usual self, we may have made it into the hat for the next round.

Tarkowski has more than enough credit to have a bad game. He has generally been quality since we signed him.

Has been a bit ropy at times this season though. Today was a bad game, they happen.
Nah…blinkered thinking that…. that is dismissing the bad passes he regularly makes, the pens he gives away and the shocking defending that leads to goals. B

Yet we've kept 9 clean sheets this season with him at the heart of defence. He's hardly a "shocking player", that's just bedwettery.

Keane was given chance after chance for years and proved that he was an absolutely calamity. That's why he's hammered for every mistake, because he's earned that reputation.

Tarks had an absolute stinker today and he had a shaky start to the season but he's not yet a serious problem.

That being said I think O'Brien will play more at CB next season probably at his expense

Sorry, anyone who uses the term ‘bedwettery’ their view automatically goes in the bin.

Horrible, horrible performance today.

You've given away a penalty, it's less than 5 mins to half time.

Wtf is our captain and most experienced player doing playing that pass?

There's no upside to that pass.

Second goal killed us. Last ever cup game at Goodison is down to him.

it was but we need him to get back with it

Great response. 10/10 well thought out

You were the one who used the term bedweterry. Own it and be better

If you stop pissing your sheets like a lemon I'll stop calling you a bed wetter

‘like a lemon’ what? Youve lost me…ill duck out of this one
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I do get nervous when I see Tarkowski 1-on-1 low in the box or after he’s been beaten and he’s trying to catch up. It’s usually a 50/50 toss of either being a nice tackle on the ball or taking someone out at their knees for a pen and throwing his hands up like the ref got the wrong guy.
