2024/25 James Tarkowski

I'd argue he's been our worst player this season.

Obviously the likes of McNeil, Young, Doucoure and Mykolenko are woeful and wouldn't get minutes at any other Premier League side, but Tarkowski is supposed to be captain material and leading by example.

His general play has been abysmal, constant aimless diagonal 60-yard balls, slow to react, losing his man in the box, awful on the ball.

O'Brien should be in in his place, but clearly it won't happen.

Tarkowski was incredible in his first year with us but his form has well and truly fallen off a cliff and I doubt he can get it back, certainly not under this manager.

It's a very competitive cup - who is our worst player.
I don't think he is our worst but he is no way captain material either but outside of pickford I'm not sure who is.

Never thought I'd be saying this...I'd dropping him for Keane.
Myself would have done when all the talk with Braithwaite coming back in over Keane again 5 or 6 matches back. Can't see the issue with Keane Braithwaite pairing given the latter improvement. Is it injury with Tarkowski or age, looking little like Ashley Williams to me now, what pace there was is going quickly...

That 4th goal for United yesterday, getting beasted by some little kid in a block tackle, was Keane-esqe.

All this fella had was graft and bottle, if his legs and bottle have gone, he's done.

We should have been playing O’Brien and branthwaite when fit from the beginning of the season, slotting Tarks/keane/whoever in as and when, but there’s zero planning for the future under this manager.
