I thought he had a pretty good second half after a pretty poor first half. Anything decent we did second half was because of him and his fitness and effort were really good until the end.

He was working hard to try and influence the game, the absence of good runs ahead of him was glaring though and he got suffocated on the ball.

Some lovely technique in the second half when he came deeper to look for possession. Has a surreal ability to switch feet and create momentum in a different direction and can wrongfoot two to three defenders around him very easily. Pity the leaden feet plodders and pointers around him show no movement whatsoever so he then has nobody to lay off a creative pass to.
Get Doucore back in there, add a youthful and mobile replacement to Gome/Sig and a winger in the truest sense and suddenly we can bring out the best in James. Sadly, for now he is wasted.
