When he gets up to speed, he is some player. Just need a few more lads around him who make intelligent runs and movements off the ball. His link up with Digne is incredible at times, it'd take us up a level to have someone down the other flank finding the same space.

He found Iwobi running into space a few times tbf.

Formation suited him as he had licence to roam and didn’t have to work very hard in defence although he did more tonight than usual!. Tired in the second half and started missing with some of his diagonal balls.

It was colder in Germany but granted Bayern are slightly better.

I think he was up to speed at the start of the season and drifted a bit with the injuries and internationals.

He was sheer class for us tonight , even when they know he‘s going to hit a long curving pass out to Digne they couldn’t stop it with his accuracy. It actually suited him playing that false (2) 9 position as nobody was expecting him to cover back , just do what he does.

Yeah he did and Iwobi had a good game tonight too. It just felt in the second half (and maybe it was a tiredness thing) that the team was a bit static and James couldn't get his passes off because of it.
