He's 29 at the end of the season. £50m would be far too much money for somebody with effectively no resale value. Rather goes against the model we are supposedly looking to operate - i.e. buy under 26 with decent resale value and room for improvement. Give him half a season of the Goodison groans when he takes too long on the ball getting used to the pace of the premiership and we'll have a 29 year old on £200k a week "desperate to end his Everton nightmare".....

I like McNeil he is good player and is limited to the players around him. Or is it he stands out more around average players. Just sticks out in that team just not a Burnley type of player.
