Had a very good first year with us, but that seems a long time ago now. And, his injury record this season and last season is shocking. If fully fit and playing well would be a decent member of the squad. But there's equally a good case for cashing in on him if we get the right offer.

I hope Allardyce's thinking is that he wants him in the shop window in hope someone decides to gives us some money for him when the window opens. I really do have little-to-no use for this lad anymore.
