Makes sense to let him go, quite like him and think he has been excellent in the last few months (when fit)
But with Davies, Schneiderlin, Gana, Barry and Besic (when/if fit) then we are covered in that area so if you get £20 mil it's good business
If we keep him and he is on the bench for the rest of the season then his price will fall and we will be trying to get him off the wage bill for £10 mil in the summer

I would keep him, he is a good solid player who works hard. Davies is young and will have dips in form and with an injury to Gana or Schneiderlin and we could be back to having Besic play before he gets injured again. Unless we can get a replacement and £20+ I say keep him.

Barry won't be around forever, so I haven't included him.
He won't want to hang around as a depth player - fair enough, too.

If we get the chance to cash in on him (obviously we rate him higher than 16m) I hope we take it.

If we get £20m for him that's brilliant business.

He hasn't been the same player since his first season for us and won't be able to get anywhere near the team.

He's behind Morgan, Gana, Davies, Barry in the pecking order. Then there's Besic who is coming back and even in the very worst case Ross can play there.

When fit he can be a good player but his fitness is a huge problem, and he's a more limited player than the other options we have.

Thanks for the memories of that first season, but it's best for us and him to sell.

I will be sorry to see him go as when he is in full swing he is a very good player.

Excellent against Arsenal and then well on top v Liverpool... then ping.
And that is sadly the issue now. His game relies on intensity and if his fitness is unreliable then it might be best to move him on.

If we get an offer of anywhere near 20m then we should sell. Especially from Newcastle who are awash with money after selling sissoko and that lad to the RS. Put the money towards sigurdsson.

I think he will be sold this window, our refusal to accept 16 million is a bit of brinkmanship that will hold out until near the end of the window, with the hope that Newcastle or another club will offer a bit more.

16m would be superb for a players whose basically only had one leg fit for 2 years. played boss a against Arsenal and 1st half against the RS showing what he can do, but those performances are few and far between due to injuries and the emergence of Davies really means we have 1 too many in those positions now.

16M really isnt that much anymore. Are people not looking at other transfers that are happening?

Lets sell him and buy half a Troy Deeney.
