James McCarthy

He's done here, especially with Gana, Schneiderlin and Davies now all in front of him.

One dimensional, offers nothing creatively and impotent anywhere near the opponent's penalty area.

If we can get a few million on top of what we paid for him, it's a great deal.

He's just a runner and one of too many 'good, but not good enough' players we have invested our hopes in for the last two decades and more.

He has scored 5 more goals during his career than Schneiderlin during a similar span.

Just saying like....

May I suggest that's comparing apples and pears Papa?

Thirteen of McCarthy's 25 career goals came while playing for Hamilton Academicals.

If you count Wigan as top flight, he scored 12 in 120 games for them and 100 for Everton.

In 262 games for Southampton and the Mancs, Schneiderlin has bagged 15 goals. So nothing to chose between them in that respect?

How many of schneiderlins came in league 1 or the championship ;)

Just heard of someone that McCarthy was promised something when Martinez was in charge (i assume a better contract) and obviously someone has put the blockers on it. He apparently is not as injured as we think (or injured at all) he is sulking and wants away. How true it is i dont know, just passing on what i got told.

I would keep him, he is a good solid player who works hard. Davies is young and will have dips in form and with an injury to Gana or Schneiderlin and we could be back to having Besic play before he gets injured again. Unless we can get a replacement and £20+ I say keep him.

Barry won't be around forever, so I haven't included him.
