James McCarthy

With Gana away and Besic injured, McCarthy is a valuable squad member for the rest of the year, but given the options we have back there, I'm inclined to think we'll cash in next summer. His progress has stalled a bit in the last season or so and he hasn't really become the player we all hoped he would be.

its up to McCarthy to prove his worth if he want s to stay at Everton. he's got 5 months to do that.

its not looking good for him tho with us signing players in his position.

This lad hasn't been properly fit in two years

Hopefully he gets a run of fitness.
Luckily there's a Martin O'Neill window of international football coming up! Crocked

People seem to think he went crap cos he's crap....he went crap cos of Martinez, along with most of his team mates.

He will get such a lift from playing along side Gana, Davies morgs etc.

Dare I say..........like a new signing.

He went crap because he got injured and never properly recovered.

Still think we may move him on really late in January mate, just keeping him for cover whilst gueye is away in case we pick up a injury etc.

He was excellent when he came on yesterday, but when Gueye comes back, he'll be fourth/fifth choice.

I think Koeman would happily keep him but if the lad wants first team footy and we get a good offer, he may well go.

That being said, it was only Friday that Koeman said he had no plans to sell Macca.

Aye a combination of things suggest he will be sold mate, as for koeman stating that, I believe him, don't think we are offering him around but think we will listen, and that probably assures us a better fee.

aye.

can see this been a deadline move depending on Senegal's progress at AFCON.

A shame though as I honestly think the last few times he's played he's been brilliant. But his injuries are a worry and I'm sure he'll want first team footy.
