Makes sense!

If you then go one deeper and ignore the u21s then at that stage we would only have McCarthy,Besic,Barkley,Tarshaj for 3 positions so would need another two players in.

It 'could' mean another Barry/Busquets type player in the DM role to alternate with McCarthy and we definitely need competition for Besic (especially with his injury record which is soul destroying).

Will be interesting to see what Martinez does.
Quite a high opinion of Gareth Barry you've got there.

Was tosh yesterday, off the pace and his passing was hideous. Not been his best season.

Since Carlisle he's been brilliant but yeh yesterday he was poor. He had found some real form around october time and it was when we went on that little run up until he got injured against Bournemouth. Then low and behold the results dried up.

Lacks the consistency of a top defensive midfielder, on his day is brilliant but has too many games he's not at that level, guess same can be said about a lot of the team though really

3. James McCarthy's return from the troublesome groin injury that forced him to miss two months of Everton's season could be good timing for boss Roberto Martinez. The Republic of Ireland midfielder's partnership with Gareth Barry was key to the 2-0 win at Bournemouth that put the Toffees into the FA Cup quarter-finals. Everton have won four of the five games since McCarthy returned to the starting side – the same number as in the 13 that he missed.

All you Jamo haters can SNIFF IT.
