James McCarthy

Still eligible for the winner's medal I think
He played three early rounds but not past the 5th round. Dont know whether that gets him a medal, but he did none of the heavy lifting.

He's a decent player but I still question this belief he's more accomplished than McCarthy.

...and neither is he accomplished. That's my point.
Eh? You were using the fact that Schneiderlin has no medals in order to challenge the statement that he's an accomplished player

Phil Neville has a bucket full of medals and yet you also don't think he's accomplished either, so the relevance of the medals is what exactly?

McCarthy has been crap since the day he signed his new deal at the start of last season btw, it's only in the last couple of appearances that we've seen a glimpse of the player he was when he first arrived, oddly that appears to have come just before the window opened. Strange that.

If we can get £20m sell him. 2 good games in 2 and a half seasons is no reason to keep anyone. Purge the club of another Martinez flop too.

Decent squad player but his limited passing range means he should never be guaranteed first choice. Those lids making out he's the second coming and was better than Barkley etc. are just doing it as part of a Martinez agenda. The only clubs interested are championship ones which says everything about his level.

Always wanted McCarthy at the club and was delighted we signed him and even more delighted when he quickly became a fan favourite.....However as a club we probably do need to be more ruthless when a player underperforms for a certain amount of time. Two and a half seasons of injuries and mainly poor performances should mean biting the hand off of any club offering decent money and showing them the exit. Sorry Jamo.

I've not seen a huge amount of his replacement but I think he will be a success. If expectations are being better than McCarthy then he doesn't really need to do much.

Don't waste your time mate. You know why he rates McCarthy and doesn't rate Schneiderlin.
