Basically they are jealous of Everton and want all our players in an attempt to get to where we are, not quite realising the players are only half of what's making us so good.

Quietly, this lad is fitting into the side nicely. I'd like him to contribute more going forwards but hopefully that will come with time.

Would Barkley really want to go to play for the man that held him back? Not saying Barkley won't go at some point at all, but I doubt Moye's united would be his first choice

I think that although united are the biggest club in the country, they don't have that fergie factor anymore. You only have to look at the players that turned them down in the summer. City due to their wages and squad are the team that can attract world class players. Even then I can't see Barkley going there either. He would look at Rodwell and other English players e.g. Johnson, Sinclair and see it has ruined their careers not made it. As Roberto has said Ross is at the perfect club to fulfill his potential, he is playing week in week out for his beloved club, has made the England squad and is idolised by the fans. What more could you want? It's a pity Steven Gerrard didn't give the same advice to Rooney as he did to Ross.

McCarthy - Where are the doubters now?

Just a thought, we are now half way through the season and I remember when Martinez took over people saying he was turning us into Wigan and that James McCarthy was not and would never be an Everton player. Also people saying he was never worth 13m.

after what we have seen since his arrival, have people changed their mind??

Also does anyone believe like me he could be a future Everton Captain???
