TBF, I caved in and accepted I'd made a mistake at the end of that half season he started off with us. I'm as amazed at the fall away as everyone else.

There's no doubting the initial analysis was more valid though.

Amazing how so many of us could be wrong...I was a bit surprised on the fee but when we signed him we had nothing else there and he is still young. Really good player, although we need another chap signed to step in for him/barry.

Being wrong is ok. Not giving someone a chance to prove their worth is.

Spot on and there's been too much of that in the past year, players and manager given short shrift.
