He might turn out to be a good long term signing but he was a rip off compared to Chadli/Holtby/Capoue/Eriksen all of whom have been signed in the last 12 months.

You could have highlighted the bit where I said he could be a good signing.

I'd still argue that in cash terms Holtby for £2m, Eriksen for £8m, Capoue for £9m and Chadli for £7m would have been decent buys if they'd signed for us rather than Spurs. In fact I'd take any of them now for our midfield.
