Man of the Match for me today, was everywhere. Chipping in at every opportunity, and looks to be really enjoying his football, he is a really calming player to have, and it's such a good thing, that he's so young. I trusted Martinez when he signed him, but was a little skeptical of the £13m, but he's been a really asset, and even better when Barry is back next week!

Oh and that assist. Love him.

McCarthy & Barry are light years ahead of Fellaini. We have a proper central midfield again, since we sold Arteta we've been awful in the centre of the park.

Different types of CMs, mate. I know your dislike for Fellaini is well documented. But seriously, he's a monster Ball winning midfielder.

Barry and McCarthy are just much better suited to this system IMO.

He did last night and the last few games as well.

If we had options on the bench I would of hooked him a few games before this as well.

We need someone to take the captains armband,Macca is too young we need a leader /enforcer,someone who can get in the faces of the Gerrard's of this world , a Cattermole type of player, I think this is a priority

Christ. People are actually having a go at James? Barry, Baines, Jagielka, Alcaraz, Stones, Lukaku all were worse than McCarthy last night. Get the feeling a few have been waiting for a few below par games from him to start bringing his price tag up again.
