James McCarthy

He got a really good reception when he came on yesterday.

A decent player who has always given his all, but not now in our plans for next season, I would guess.

I know, it's just the fickleness of some of us that really annoys me.

Give him 30 minutes off the bench v Palace with the game already won and let him build up his match fitness. He is the sort of player we should be keeping to give proper strength in depth to our squad imho.

Serious question, did he even touch the ball when he came on?
Who cares? We won 4-0.

The more important question is "Did he manage to see the game out without getting hurt again?"

We may as well send him on holiday until the summer window opens, and then loan him out for his final year. He's been finished here for at least 15 months now, but his ridiculous injury record has prevented us selling him.

I was just curious.

Pointless, as he won`t get his match fitness back under any circs before the end of the season.

Wrap him up in cotton wool and sell him to the first team in the SPL that wants him.

Great to see Jamesy back.

Clearly our best player today.

Nice to see him back on the pitch, and even better to hear the reception he got.
Whereever his future lies, I hope he gets to play a lot more football than he has for the last few years, he deserves a bit of luck.

Must admit, when Digne went down I wasn't sure who it was at first, but then noticed McCarthy was standing up, so breathed a sigh of relief !
