Mccarthy would be a good deal IMO.
Granted, Fellaini was one of our star men last year, but honetly, how many times has he played to the maximum of his ability for us? However many games it is, it isn't enough. Said after the WBA game last week, Fellaini doesn't seem to fit into the Martinez style, everything is so slow with him. Mccarthy may not instantly solve this problem but I think long term he will be a good fit.

I for one would ban the club from signing gingers

They have no soul and stink the place out with there cat piss stench

What??

We would be replacing Fellaini with McCarthy. Fairly agreed upon.

We are struggling for creativity and goals. So, let's sell a lad who gets us goals for a lad who gets virtually no goals and creates one chance every 94 minutes.

Hey, why bother? We've already got Leon Osman!

In your eyes, when did Fellaini morph into the creative genius he is today?

Our strikers are going to get about 12 goals between them this season and now we are selling last seasons top scorer and replacing him with a bang average centre mid. We need goals, not someone who isn't creative, isn't a ballwinner, and isn't a goalscorer.
" isn't a ballwinner," ?
It's one of McCarthy's best assets.

Paying anywhere near 10m (never mind over it) is an absolute joke and Dave Whelan is probably laughing himself silly to the bank.
For balance (because we all know that rule number 1 of this forum is that no negativity is allowed whatsoever no matter how justified) i would be more than happy to pay 3-5m and replace Osman with him.

Did I say creative genius? No.

Did I say he scores goals? Yes.

Right....

Oh wow this is just full of fail

Fellaini's goal record previous to last season was 3,1,2

He scored 11 last season because he played as a forward, Martinez will not play him there

Making up is a bit strong, the figures I recollected were slightly wide of the mark and the overall point was still sustained with their actual cost/value. No harm done there I feel.

Eh?

Doesn't make sense at all.

If Beattie or, in this instance, Kone cost 3m (a 3 million difference), you'd be bleating that it's a paltry sum, not too bad, 10 goals would be good return on investment etc etc.

So we've got a 6m Kone and a 6.5m Beattie, both utter tripe, but one is a Moyes signing and one is a Martinez one. No prizes for the one you are keener to praise.

You've got yourself into a pickle.

Orly:

It means he's on the move all the time. Which he is.

I noticed above you said you'd be happy with McCarthy if it wasn't a straight 'swap' for fellaini.

Can you tell us, then, what his qualities are that you'd see him bringing to us?

...any chance mate?

'Delighted' is the word you used....

...what would delight you about McCarthy's arrival?

Is that really the vibe you get from this place?

What?!?!

Fellaini for us has 9, 3, 3, 5, 12 for us

Compare that to McCarthy and Osman.

So we should criticise that he was flexible enough to play in another position for us when we needed goals? Totally stupid.

Full of fail, yes, your logic is.
