Really think he could be are long term right back he seems to play well every time he plays there , tenacious hard working and a bit of quality on the ball.

Has had a thankless task playing out of position against two rapid wingers in James and Minteh and did a commendable job where I thought he was almost as good defensively as Mykolenko (as defensively Myko is a great LB) but offered a bit more going forward with some nice link up passing yesterday.

Absolute rocket of a goal, he deserved it more than anyone for those two tough games!

I thought he was superb yesterday, considering he was out of position. Linked up really well with Dewers in the 2nd half, and capped it off with a great strike.

He was always right back in the England team.
I think that's his position - though I reckon he'd rather be centre mid.
Great to have a versatile lad who can cover multiple positions though.

Personally I rate him, always have. He’s not top drawer by any means but he’s calm, good technique, can tackle, can pick a pass, can protect the ball and has an engine on him. Basically he can do all the basics very well.

Think this is the final year of his contract. I think Moyes rates him so it think it will be down to the size of contract he asks for.

I consider Garner the jock type. He grew up and because of his athleticism would probably be good at most sports and he probably never really had to apply himself that hard until he reached this level. He looks good at most things and could definitely push on, but that requires him to take the bull by the horns. I just remember when he first broke into the team, I thought damn he looked like a Premier league player from the start. He can be much better than Mr. Tidy. Up to him
