….not in the least, all I’m saying is he will be judged on how he does in the tournament. If they do very well then that justifies his squad selection, if they do poorly he’s open to criticism.

The other point I’ll make about tournament football is the winners will often grow into the competition, not always starting Impressively. The first game is often difficult regardless of opposition.

Can’t argue with that mate, and tuchel he certainly backs himself.

I still can’t explain how garner was omitted from his squad.

….tournament footy is all about what the team does in the tournament. I have no real interest or opinion but that’s what to judge them on, not a warm up game on a reportedly dodgy pitch.

A lot of those players are more interested in not getting injured before the tournament and tbh you can't blame them.

In todays market Anderson is a £100m player, only 23 the lad is only going to get better and could be a mainstay for years to come.
