This game didn't look any different in midfield than any game he has played there.

Has been our best RB (and possibly LB) since he joined.

But needs to play in midfield (where he was pushing for an England spot - so makes sense ) but only if Gana is dropped. Garner isn’t half the player when they are both on the pitch, which can happen. But only one of them is the future, and only one of them has stunk the place out repeatedly of late.

It's to his credit that he can do well at full back. But it's a sign of abysmal squad building that you have to move your best midfielder to full back to get some competent play in that position

He did a brilliant job snuffing out any threat from Cunha (who clearly didn't like him walking away after pushing him off the pitch one time with his antics in injury time).

However he was also badly missed in central midfield.

It would be good for the club to do something about that in an actual transfer window.

The lad is brilliant whatever you ask of him, but he certainly wasn't on that field enjoying the fact he was moved out of his position once again..

Solid and battered into Cunha every chance he got. So good to have signed a new contract. Man Utd didn’t really cause us too many problems. Would far rather have him in midfield and Paterson at right back. Showed a poor Man Utd team way too much respect.

You dont play your best midfielder at right back

You do if you play your best CB at left back. Much better off weakening the whole spine of the team in an act of unnecessary sabotage
