He suffered playing under Dyche mate, tried to make him into a DM which is not really his game. Jimmy has said this in a magazine interview he gave a while back, he certainly is no fan of gravel chops. At Forest he was much more attack minded, Moyes has him somewhere in the middle and it seems to suit him, letting him just do his thing.
More Garner stats:
Obvious to our eyes but stacks up against every other player in the league too - he's simply one of the best crossers in the country and top class at winning the ball too.
This is why I understand people still calling to play him at RB. In the future I want to see him on the left side of a midfield three so he can get into those crossing positions more.

Was always going to be a very good player, but his development stalled completely for a couple of years and became just a a name on the team sheet and was consistently and reliably ok. Has then burst forward out of nowhere. Body language on the pitch was brilliant over winter, easily the best player on the pitch in numerous games, commanding and instrumental in some great results. Almost swagger.

I hope him signing a new deal is a sign that the club has a plan that they're selling to players (and not in a blagging way).
The likes of Garner, KDH, Branthwaite and Ndiaye are capable of having serious careers. The aim should be to have them do that here.
