2025/26 Jake O'Brien

Just sick of seeing this lad at right back at home. We actually played better when he was sent off (although Bournemouth sat back) he’s absolutely pants there.

Away from home ok, at home when we need to be on the front foot just NO. Rinse and repeat Moyes ffs.

Patto did extremely well when he came in and he’s been banished nowhere to be seen. Long term is he the answer probably not but surely better than O’Brien there.

He's being asked to doing things at home that he's not capable of doing really well, getting forward and crossing or creating something. Away from home his defensive qualities are fine at RB but at home he shoukd play CB as hes a good defender.

JoB was a good short term solution last season, but I rather think teans have found us out with this particular ploy.

We should have signed a first team ready right back in the summer. Time is coming to start phasing out the Keanes abd Tarkys. Its like when we ge try out Stubbs and Weir out to pasture. JoB and Branthwaite are Lescott and Jags #2

He's no slouch, it was strange that he chose to foul rather than backing himself to get back and make a challenge. Maybe being played out of position for such a long spell is harming his development.

He's dreadful as a right back, dreadful on the ball, indecisive, struggles to read the game. Its night and day compared to when hes playing centre half, hes assured, calm (except against DCL who gave him a torrid night), better on the ball.

Its not his fault. He offers nothing but a headache but the manager insists on it. He'll be straight back in after his 1 game ban regardless of who plays right back and if they do well.
