It's negligence that we haven't signed a FB - and especially a RB - in two transfer windows. All true, but we've dreamt of a CB pairing of him and Branthwaite for so long yet our full back position means they are both still played out of position. Criminal.

He'd defo play Iroegbunam instead of Armstrong too.Moyes'head might fall off once hes got Mykolenko back, as he'll bring him straight in but not want to drop anyone.
We could end up with a classic 5311 Moyes special of
GK Pickford
RB Jake
CB Tarkowski
CB Keane
CB Branthwaite
LB Mykolenko
CM Gueye
CM Garner
CM Armstrong
AM Illy
ST Barry
The less width the better and more cloggers required!
In the bloody middle where they should play. Moyes loves his central defenders playing fullbackDepends where Moyes plays them.
I feel that Moyes sees this as our strongest set up, & what he'll go with if everyone available (minus Grealish he's probably done at Everton)Moyes'head might fall off once hes got Mykolenko back, as he'll bring him straight in but not want to drop anyone.

Based on what exactly?I can see O'Brien handing in a transfer request in the summer. He'd walk straight into a lot of Premier League first teams at centre half.
Based on the fact he's constantly played out of position. When he plays centre half we look great and then as soon as Keane, who is a liability, is available, he's shunted back to right back. If you went to work and they asked you to help out in another department, you'd do it for the short term, but if they kept asking you to do it whilst somebody you knew did a worse job, was doing the job you were employed for you'd go and get a job elsewhere doing what you're good at. Why would a footballer be any different?Based on what exactly?
Genuinely one of the most random shouts on here recently.
Thats your conspiracy theory. Not having it.Based on the fact he's constantly played out of position. Maybe because the guy that doesn't do your preferred job as well as you definitely doesn't do the other job as well as you.Based on the fact he's constantly played out of position. I like O'Brien so I don't say this to have a pop at him but I think there's a bit of an over the top reaction to him playing centre half. He's had some good games but he's had some less impressive ones too. Against Leeds he got absolutely bullied by DCL, he didn't know what day it was. That's not to say he isn't or won't be very good there, just that - not for the first time - there's a lot of people jumping to conclusions and making pronouncements about people being great centre halves without any real evidence to back it up (*cough* Godfrey, *cough* Holgate).Based on the fact he's constantly played out of position.
