Jagielka in England Squad

He's done well, i'm not sure if he's up to International standard just yet. He needs to work on his distribution and his ball work. You need to have composure on the ball and the ability to bring it from the back. He panics alot and doesn't think on the ball.

As an out and out defender he's fantastic but you need to be good on the ball at that standard, like Ferdinand. Even Terry whos abit of a yard dog has improved and doesn't panic at all on the ball these days.

You get far more time on the ball in Europe and at International level so your wrong there. England also have far better movement than we do.

absolutely agree, i'm glad they didn't because they'd be fatigued, but the fact that we have the only all english back four means they already have chemistry, they know how to work with eachother.

as a unit we've been second to none imo, it would have been nice if more players were rewarded beyond just jags, but nonetheless its great.

That's very true. As much as I like to see Everton players get the recognition they deserve on the international stage, I'd rather they save it for Everton.

Rightly so,

Biggest arse is Lescott being left out.

[Poor language removed] happens.

Everton FC is England FC.

I love them both

upson , bridge and young ????? but no lescott ???? cappello is clearly an idiot.

i bet jags doesnt even get on the pitch.
i know im biased but i do know a world class defence when i see one and we (everton ) have one.
ps id even pick baines ahead of wayne bridge aswell as neville or hibbert ahead of glen johnson .

upson, bridge, young, milner, downing ,carlton cole, crouch , thats a big list of limp wristed non entitys for an england squad imo.the rest aint much better.
in fact i hate that fannyesque squad so much im not even gonna bother watching .(i only watch when rooney doesnt play aswell)

"It was a little bit nerve-wracking playing against Spain, the European champions, but it’s character building. A lot of people are saying it will be a big learning curve for me. Hopefully I’ll get more chances, but if I don’t, then nobody can take [my caps] away from me."

I feel a bit sorry for him. His pass out of defence was poor, but there was certainly a lot of work for David Villa to do in order to score that goal - I don't remember John Terry or Ashley Cole distinguishing themselves.

Bad pass and shaky legs on that one, Mr. Jags. David Villa even fooled himself, that goal had a lot of fortune in it, the guy doesn't know what he did just that suddenly he was one on one with the keeper.
