2025/26 Jack Grealish

So you think McNeil could have done a better job than Grealish? He started against Arsenal, I didn’t see that game, did he play well?
No, he did nothing.

All I'm saying is Grealish has been so poor against Chelsea and Arsenal that it wouldn't have made any difference if he was on the pitch or not. Doesn't really matter who the replacement is at the moment. To me, he's looked like he needed a rest since the United game.

He's obviously more than capable of improving his performances, too. And hopefully that happens sooner rather than later. We desperately need him playing well whilst Ndiaye is away.

I agree on us needing him to play well while Ndaiye and KDH are unavailable. I’m just unsure as to why you’ve chosen Chelsea and Arsenal as games where you think he should do something out of the ordinary when the both of them are very good sides. He scored the winner v Bournemouth and played very well against Forest - even though he was quiet - when we also won.

I kinda feel like he needs a break... problem is we're really short currently 💀

I have a genuine fear that he might burn out before February.
He really shouldn’t. If we get to the FA Cup final the maximum number of games he’s going to play this season is 44. That’s nothing in modern terms. Declan rice has played 30 already to put it into perspective.

If we do our usual thing of bowing out the FA Cup early then we'll have plenty of two week gaps between games. If a player can't cope with the schedule we've had this season then they aren't fit enough for the modern game.

I don't think Grealish has been good lately but you can't underestimate how difficult it is to have so little in the team to play off. Barry and Mykolenko especially are so poor.

I understand why people are saying getting it in the box earlier and quicker but who to? There's such a lack of goals in this team.

When people keep saying "he slows it down too much", people need to see who is ahead of play for him to quicken it up.

He usually slows it down for a reason, to let us get more bodies forward and progress as a team. If there was more pace in the side, he'd quicken it up imo

Exactly. He looks up and Mykolenko is stood on the half way line and then there's Barry who is usually stood around being no threat or option whatsoever. Grealish being so good at holding the ball up is actually the only way we're going to be able to sustain an attack until Ndiaye returns.

It pains me to see people saying that anyway.

"He should play more like [random player that plays NOTHING like Grealish]." I get that we need pace but that's not his game and never will be.

Why would we get Grealish and then want him to be like someone else? It's so weird.

he has had multiple breaks this season when he wasn't playing for england on international duty

i think he even went to dubai during one of the breaks

his last break was less than a month ago

yeah we've played a lot of games since then but are we really saying grealish is the kind of player who needs to have a break every 3-4 games?

Jack's just the next player on the Merry go round, it will be moved on again soon..

It will be IIly next just because he chose to play for his country.

But with a window coming up in 10days, It will be another 5months of Moyes - Recruitment..

Because we're crying out for so many things and, as has been the case for some decades now, fans are lumping everything on the one person who looks remotely capable of anything..see Rom, James etc.
