2025/26 Jack Grealish

KDH was there as well fwiw.

And I think it’s proper mint, but totally get why your heads are exploding after your game like.
My head isn't exploding and I don't have any issue with him bevvying. My point is players who like a drink don't tend to play well into their 30s like others.

I don't know why anyone takes issue with pointing that out. And Grealish certainly enjoys a drink.

madness isn't it!?

TBF we’re paying him 250k a week and may look at a long term deal for him, I’d say that’s worthy of a bit of scrutiny.

He’s a very good player, but I really don’t like the sense that we should feel privileged to have him or he is beyond question. We’ve had better players than him here. Hes getting very well paid for his services here, so I think what he contributes is worth analysis on the value of it, on that basis also I don’t feel we’re lucky to have him, we’re paying him very well for his service.

He’s a very good player - but could you better one next season for 250k a week…..

last time we rested players against wolves they beat us
might be their last win too

We don't have the luxury of resting players atm and we don't have europe either so it shouldn't be an issue
Then we'll play players until they get injuries that keep them out for months.

Not a great strategy. It's why we have a squad: rotation. Maybe someone should tell Moyes?

But it's not about what we need. It's what we have available.
Oh right. If your talking about what we have, just watch him. His trust in the players around him, bar KDH/Garner is plain to see.

His constant slowing down the game gets to me too, but we don't have anything available to change that.

You put one quality wing back next to him and you'd see a different approach from him.

He needs players on his wavelength, and 'Pep' slapped out of him..

For EFC as currently constituted Jack is a good deal. He is talented if slow, does not miss games and only he and Ndjiaye have the magic dust in the team. Funnily enough though he would be one of my first upgrades when I become manager.

Says the same guy that wants to rush Merlin back smh
We aren't playing that many games. Rotation should not be as much of an issue for us

Rush him back?

Out for 5 weeks already after his hernia op that usually takes less than a month to recover from (including training) and I'm asking that he should be played for half an hour over the Christmas games.

That IS the definition of not rushing a player back.

Maybe we should rest him up for 3 months just to make triple sure?

I agree with you on the current deal but the thing is, he’s more than the sum of his work on the pitch. It’s obvious that the other players are enjoying playing alongside him and his whole demeanour has defo lifted the squad.

Having a player of his attitude and skill in the team makes the other players think they can win games. That’s the bit that’s the hardest thing to replace - that magic dust.

If we could bring in someone else with bags of talent, I’d still want to keep both.

A bit weird resorting to name calling.

Speaking of Rooney, another player that fell away massively once he reached 30 because he didn't look after himself off the pitch.

You have a nice day 👍

Not saying he couldn’t have looked after himself better off the pitch but I think Rooney was always destined to fall off his prime early .

He was physically ready at 15-16 years old and was basically bald by 20 he grew up quick and aged quick

Lukaku is similar

Those that mature early generally age quicker

Or, here's a thought, we play him when he's declared ready by the medical team and not based on the timescale some random lad on a fan forum decides
