2025/26 Jack Grealish

George/Grealish
Dibling/Ndiaye

On paper looks very promising. In reality with Moyes its not going to be helpful to the two younger players.
Zat, with as much respect as possible.

I think George and Dibling will go on to be solid enough signings. Worried we’ve seen very little from Tyler so far (not in opportunity but in ability) …unsure how that will work out.

However Tyler and George will never achieve what Jack has in the game.

Jack Grealish was and still is a world class super star. Not just as a football player but as a human being too.

Hey it’s all a game of opinions and that’s mine.

With 12 months left on his City contract in the summer, Jack holds all the cards.

He can either see that deal out on his big fat contract and walk away for nothing, or City can come to the table and thrash out a deal for 18-22m with us and get his wages off their books (providing Jack takes a hefty wage cut if he comes to us)
His injury will knock £10m off surely!!

Why do you think Grealish would help to attract players, being close to 31 and out of the England squad.

What level of player do you think he'd help attract?

£15mil would make more sense with City taking a small hit on his book value.

Id rather not.

You and your obsessive youth

I have heard it is closer to £12 mil for us to make it permanent

I wouldn't say done deal. I see it as a player who knows his next contract is possibly his last & he's currently in a hospital bed feeling a little low about his situation so he's doing anything he can to show love, support & gratitude to help keep the 'dream' alive of joining us permanently next season. He's probably a little nervous of the signing on loan of George too & how that pans out for us.
I like Jack. So long as his recovery is straight forward & the number doesn't go above £30m ish I would still bring him here. He seems good around the squad, Moyes clearly likes him & he does add some gravitas to Everton. More eyes usually equals more income.
I’m not sure how these things work with footballers, and I know given what he earns it’s a snip, but when we did the tour they said he’d bought a box on either a three year or five year lease which suggested to me he thought there was a good chance he’d be staying beyond his loan

think KDH and Dibling were excited to play with him. Good players want to play with other good players and the more famous the better. It would also show ambition which is part of it.

This is what I think.
His dreaded ‘book value’ for City to break even from an accounting perspective is £100m / 6 or £16m, plus they owe him the last £16m of his contract - less whatever they can negotiate with him and then the buyer tops up.
I’d imagine they will agree to sell him to whoever is willing to cover the amortisation and whom will pay the largest bit of whatever they agree to on his contract.
A £25m sale and him agreeing a £135k per week contract might see all parties content as City basically close the door on him ‘breaking even’ and he gets all his last years money.
Be surprised if he didn’t want a 3 year deal so potential total investment / write off would be in the region of £46m for the buying club.
Whether TFG have the stomach for that we will see.
Personally I think they would if they though it would guarantee UEFA / CL every year of his contract, but I’m not sure (joking aside) that Moyes is the guy to make the most of players like Grealish, or that we would have the squad to make the most of his talents.
