2025/26 Jack Grealish

….the indication is that this is serious, assume if it’s metatarsal it’ll need an op followed by doing nothing for 3 months. I assume it’ll be agreed with City who looks after him from here but we’ll still be responsible for paying the agreed salary until the end of the season.

Could possibly be the end of his time here or maybe accelerate a loan for next season, much will depend on if we bring somebody in.

We know Ndiaye can operate on either flank, which helps the scope of a replacement this month. Pity Dibling has looked a long way short of what’s required and whilst McNeil ‘does a job’ you’d want real threat in those wide positions.

They’re not going to loan him to us next season as it’s his last year, the reported fee for purchase was £50m, so there’s no way they’ll take a loan fee and allow us to get him for free the season after.

Having some real bad luck with injuries and suspensions this season.

It really shows the risk the owners took going into the start of the season thin in certain areas.
Moyes prefers too work with a smaller squad though, when you have a couple of players missing (AFCON) then the injuries start its always going to lead to problems.

I highly doubt we will want to pay large money for a 30 year old coming off the back of a broken foot, that really is NOT good recruitment.

….the thing is, nobody is going to pay that type of fee and no club will cover his entire salary so City might have to take whatever they can get. Grealish will also have a big say on what happens, he could choose to stay there and see out his contract if City don’t play ball.
