I haven't looked forward to a season so much in years - you've been brainwashed into the Moyes FC stuff lad.

Given Moyes explaned his tall tales re "the contract" as admission he'd had enough just count yourself lucky we've got the the best young manager in the game riding to the rescue.

Imagine how inspiring it would be if Utd come in for Baines (because apparently the bid is fook all to do with ginge!) and the predicted Fellaini exit materialises with Dancin' Davy at the helm .....OH 'KINELL WITH BELLS ON! his bottom lip would be going at every interview.

Who's telling you we're not a selling club?

Patently we are moreover the sooner it's accepted the healthier the prospects, a prime flaw with Moyes was slowness in trading tieing money up we could ill afford under the delusion we could build a successful long term squad - sheer idiocy.

Under this regime we get good players for a short period when hopefully we can win something or get CL then they're off to market.

Martinez did this at Swansea and Wigan the portents are great - at last the right man for the job.

Plus he's not a misery.

It may take a season but let's be honest the previous incumbent was given 11.

Spot on mate.

Martinez arriving is like opening a window on to a musty smelling room.

It'll be worth it just to have a manager in the dugout who doesn't run the white flag up before a Derby or touch his forelock in the presence of United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

So happy Moyes has gone, best thing to happen to us in years. and we brought a really good up and coming manager in, who plays the right style of football. Once we sign a few more players you'll feel better. Can't wait for this season to sart..

My head tells me the same, but I'm hoping I'm wrong as despite sharing your view on the fella's appointment, he comes across as top bloke & I'd love to see him succeed here, but I just have a feeling that it'll go a bit pear shaped.
Couldn't have said it better. I think we're all in agreement that he seems to be a top fella. Not just us either but supporters of others clubs and the media too. He seems universally liked.

That's all well and good, but is he up to scratch as a football manager? I have severe doubts on that one but like you, I'm desperate to see him be a success here.

He hasn't got off to the greatest start with his expected new signings mind you.

The window only opened yesterday mate. Were people expecting Neymar and Messi to be unveiled at Finch Farm straight away or something?

Er, no I don't think so no. And signings could be made prior to the window "opening" yesterday, as has been explained a million times.

I'm actually feeling good about next season, provided we don't sell Baines. Moyes has left us with a top 6 squad with a first XI that can match up to any top 4 team that has a good mix of youth and experience and a great team spirit. Bill looks to have given us the "few quid" he said he would and we have a new manager that the players seem to be in favour of who will look to play decent football.

There is absolutely no reason why this squad should finish outside the top 6. The sh*te's acquisitions look far from convincing and could take time to bed in, they have Rodgers as their manager and we've brought in a decent striker, which is what we needed most. Mirallas will be a hell of a player for us next year. I can't wait to see him get a full season in now he has the wind in his sails.

Top 6 would almost surely mean Europe, which would be boss and would help us attract players again. I think there's plenty to look forward to in the short to (possibly) medium term.

Im fully aware of how it works like. Just dont think theres any reason to be fuming that he hasnt brought anyone in yet. Give him time and then judge the signings he actually makes, nobody has come in or out yet

I think we will do ok,and finish 8th myself, dont know why all this doom and gloom is about just because moyes has left and we have Martinez,we could have had so much worst,[and i know we could have had better before someone says it]

I found that when Walter Smith was our manager the Samaritans were very good,
Always worth a try, good luck.
