I never really rated this player. Would not cut it in the premier. Suited to the italian league. Bottled it against liverpool time and time again. Could have turned numerous times with the ball to go forward instead each time he received it his body position was to pass it back time and time again.Got caught for 2 of liverpools goals with negitive play. Hope we dont go near him.

As someone said above, if we got him he would be our only genuine world class player.

Also take into account he said those things in 2012 I think? Men were very weird regarding their sexualties as if anything that challenged their ‘straightness’ was bad. I highly doubt he feels he same way now.

He decided 2 nervewrecking penalty shoot-outs on our way to the World Cup final. Even at 31 he'd instantly elevate this team on another level. He is world-class, can pull his weight next to Modrić. He played the most games out of anyone last season, at 31.

As for his comments on gay people, he was clearly wrong but it was more than a couple of years ago and I believe in second chances.
