Saturdays game against the Saints is absolutely massive. We just HAVE to win that game to turn the screw on Arsenal and crank up the pressure. We've seen what there fans can be like when it isn't going there way as noted in the first 40 minutes against West Ham. Newcastle are capable of a result though they probably won't get one so its just important we take it to the next match which is City and I think we play before Arsenal again that weekend.

Said this one back along, still think that Palace game killed us, but who knows... Is it mathematically possible that Arsenal come 3rd and we still come 4th and City end up 5th?.. That would be utterly hilarious.

Its easy to say that because it was the most recent- but of all the teams to beat us this season, Palace sit up there with City and Liverpool as those that deserved to.
It was the losses to Chelsea, Spurs and Sunderland that will have cost us this season (not to mention some of those early draws)- not the Palace game.

I think the Saints game is hardest of our remaining, City at home will sort itself out, Hull are garbage.

Beat Saints, I expect Norwich to take something off Arsenal last day, may even beat em. They were unlucky yesterday.

There are so many things wrong with this post.

I don't think there's any point in trying to work out possible permutations.

If we win our remaining games then we should get 4th spot given that either city or arsenal (even Chelsea) could drop points in the run-in. If we don't get champions league with 78 points then that's just plain bad luck. If Everton lose one more game its pretty much over barring arsenal losing two of their remaining three.

Its bloody awful knowing Arsenal need to drop points against a Shola Ameobi led strikeforce, after that they face a Victor Anichebe led strikeforce.

It could go down to goal difference.

What has been a record points haul for 5th place??? just feels wrong that we will break the 70 point mark and not be guaranteed a Champions league spot.

If we would of beat Palace we'd be 3rd right now 3 points off 2nd :((

That Palace result is gonna be massive come the end of the season, will be hard to take if we do miss out on Champs league by that solitary point.
