There were these people, they disputed the accepted facts, had no time for experts - especially when their professional opinion was contrary to what they wanted, so they whipped up the crowds and invented a boogieman and took to the streets. There was kristallnacht, and there was the book burnings that defied history. It ended up on the railways to Auschwitz and similar. There are very troubling echo's resonating through history an awful lot closer than they've ever been. Stupidity isn't a sin, it is also not an excuse. I now wonder if america is as close or closer to some powder keg moment than if trump had lost.

Could you imagine living in the USA for example, and some terrorist group from Canada or Mexico invade your country en masse.

They run riot around cities and towns in border areas, killing people, raping people and kidnapping them etc. This terrorist group also want to take over the USA in the name of some sort of so called Canadian or Mexican liberation.

Obviously in this scenario the USA has every right to fight back at it's attackers. When your country comes under attack and sinister outside forces wish to take it away from you, then what else is there to do?

I can except the argument that wrongs could very well have been committed on both sides of this conflict, but which side should i pick then?

Do i side with the only democracy in the Middle East where equal rights exist for all, or do i side with the Islamic terrorist version of the teenage mutant ninja turtles? The choice is pretty clear and obvious to me.

You are still arguing the wrong point.

Of course Israel has a right to defend itself, same as every other country in the world. The question is - does it have the right to kills tens of thousands of civilians, displace hundreds of thousands more and raze an entire country to the ground?

It is not about picking which side to support, it is about have Israel ALSO done the wrong thing.

Yeah, that's the other slight problem isn't it? Dumping a load of people into a territory isn't exactly problem free. It's almost like they've paid no attention to the sad regional history that brings us here, for one.

Also ironic we keep hearing about the pressures on resources, infrastructure and integration from migration/asylum from the right, yet they're seemingly happy to do this.
