I was just contemplating some more on the president Higgins speech, his wife has dropped subtle Pro Russia hints in relation to that conflict with Ukraine.

To turn a Holocaust memorial into a lengthy spiel about Gaza, and to say that anti semitism is a PR exercise was an insult and a disgrace. Although he either said that last bit there or someplace else.

I feel a lot less Irish anyway over this issue. I mean i was born and raised in Ireland yet i feel like a stranger in my own country. As someone who identifies as non denominational Christian i kind of feel that Israel is all Christians spiritual home.

I feel that the Jews are members of the family but we went in our own different directions.

I thought supporting the notion of the Jewish people having their own state was a reasonable one, yet the concept seems to be rejected in here anyway.

The Palestinians are welcome to their own state as long as the location of it is not where Israel is currently located. Egypt for some reason just seems to want nothing to do with them whatsoever. Yet where is the anger towards them?

Well they have a terrorist organisation running the show in Gaza.

Of course not all Palestinians are evil, but the facts are that the last acceptable Palestinian leader in terms of being someone to negotiate with was Yasser Arrafat.

Of course he wasn't perfect but he did come across as a diplomatic representative of the Palestinian people.

Israel have every right to refuse to enter dialogue with Hamas. Let the Palestinian people elect political representatives who wish to achieve their goals by means of diplomacy.

Regardless of what path they choose to go down the future of Israel as a state just isn't up for negotiation.

In saying that that's not me saying they aren't welcome. Israel does provide safe refuge for those who wish to escape the authotarian terror regime of Hamas.
