Ireland has been a friend of Israel for many many years and has a sizable Jewish community throughout the country. Ireland has also been a friend of Palestinians for many years.

UNRWA says six workers killed in two airstrikes in Gaza
The UN Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA said six staffers were killed after two airstrikes hit a school in central Gaza, marking what it said was the highest death toll among its staff in a single incident.
