The Israeli PM is absolutely deranged, but I don't see how the US can continue funding this genocide when he's openly taking the piss out of them.

Now the UK and Germany have gone as far as to call for a ceasefire, will the US not follow suit?

Even if they do, will he listen? He hasn't changed anything so far despite constant warnings.

Is the US only worried because Israel has nuclear weapons? If they don't listen to the country that's directly funding them, what can be done to actually stop this?

In one of the previous wars (2008?) there was a UNSC resolution that demanded a ceasefire and was ignored, but this is much bigger.
 
I think the army and the politicians are largely out of control which is a consequence of many governments throughout the world letting them get away with it for too long. Not much point in these same govts now asking / demanding a cease fire as the damage is now done and I don't think anything will make them stop.

There are many politicians in the west who now clearly have blood on their hands, ours included, and from both major parties. For shame!

Not much. Biden is stalling for as long as he feels he can. If he proceeds to fall on his own political sword the way LBJ did, it will all make a lot more sense.

Understand that Biden is a dyed-in-the-wool Zionist who links his own experience growing up Catholic in pre-JFK America to the Jewish experience. He gets that they're in a perpetual uphill sled, is willing to look the other way on some realpolitik and believes there are things more important than self-interest or political career.

If we stack circumstances up the right way, that belief set can lead to positive outcomes. Stack them up the wrong way, and it can lead to horror.

Does anybody really think that the Israeli PM is going to take any notice of any UN resolution, regardless of who votes for it.
They've had loads of resolutions against, and they've just ignored them with impunity.
