I just explained it: the state are the state - the regime, the people are the people.Mate.
RTE have been disgraceful over the last 3 weeks. Reporting IDF press releases as fact, walking around Tel Avivdoing vox pops asking Israelis if the Irish government have hurt their feelings by calling for a ceasefire. They all comply. The BBC are the biggest culprits and place their whole organisation at the disposal of that Washington whore house AKA Tel Aviv.
All of these western news agencies but especially the yanks and British are embedded with the Israeli war machine.

They should be removed from office. How on earth are you opposed to that?
The Irish people have, I'm not so sure about politicians. Fianna Fail unbelievably the Israeli Ambassador at their Ard Fheis yesterday. But in the main they've at least been on the right side of history. They should have more sense. Still at least the Irish have done more to condemn this barbarity than most other nations.
Well, just for clarity's sake, the 1939 date was to indicate that nazi germany's leaders were dealt with.Your post can easily be read another way.
I'd have expected that off the Fine Gael blue shirts. The Irish people have, I'm not so sure about politicians. Fianna Fail unbelievably the Israeli Ambassador at their Ard Fheis yesterday. But in the main they've at least been on the right side of history.
Michael D Higgins is a brilliant president who always reflects pretty well the state of the nation.
Varadkar is a populist and knows what way the wind is blowing. Michael Martin on the other hand just hates SF. The timing of having the Israeli Ambassador there the day after SF called for her expulsion is interesting.I'd have expected that off the Fine Gael blue shirts.
He said state, and 1939 refers to start of ww2. If Dave said Jews, I have a massive problem with that, but I would assume here he's just referring to the genocidal war machine that is the current fascist govt?"The Israeli Jews need to be dealt with, like in 1939."
Usually I find myself laughing at it, but this is a skirmish into the naughty end of the spectrum to far. No.
Did MM say anything in his Árd Fheis speech about Gaza? The Irish people have, I'm not so sure about politicians. Fianna Fail unbelievably the Israeli Ambassador at their Ard Fheis yesterday. But in the main they've at least been on the right side of history.

- The party leader said the violence in the region was unjustified and reiterated calls for an immediate ceasefire
- However, he stopped short of calling for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador in Ireland, adding that it was a "populist" view
Tánaiste (Irish deputy prime minister) Micheál Martin was speaking at the opening of his party's annual conference on Saturday.
More than 9,000 people have been killed in Gaza as Israel carries out strikes after Hamas gunmen launched an unprecedented assault on 7 October.
Mr Martin said the ongoing offensive in the region was unjustified and agreed with Taoiseach (Irish prime minister) Leo Varadkar who called the attacks “something approaching revenge"
TBH I still, reluctantly, would agree that diplomatic relations should be maintained.
It is a very serious matter to move to breaking off diplomatic relations with another state no matter how odious.
As previously posted, Russia is a clear example.
