It’s not hypocrisy. It’s the pure inability of two tribes to find a way to come together. The U.K. fought Germany in WW1 and Germany and Japan in WW2, but we have been friends for years. Why the hell cannot Palestine and Israel do likewise. If Germany after the war continued sending V2’s into the U.K., we would still be at war. If Hamas continues to send missiles into Israel and committing atrocities then guess what will happen…..

Jews had lived in Israel for a long time before, a millenia before and were encouraged to settle there. Germany had suffered no such premeditated deaths and already had a country many times bigger than the U.K. in which to live. The scenario you paint has no relevance to Israel…….

In November 2022, he voiced support for a conspiracy theory that the assassin of late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was radicalized and incited to carry out the murder by the Israeli security agency Shin Bet. Likud MK and former Shin Bet chief Avi Dichter criticized the statement as "unhinged from reality"

He's also a massive homophobe and vile racist, but we don't even need to go there.

These are the type of people who are currently in charge of Israel, and particularly the departments with the most influence over what goes on in the West Bank.

What would you have done after the atrocities of the 7th….can’t wait for this answer……

Firstly - kick Netanyahu out, even on what is known publicly now the atrocities are directly attributable to what he has been doing and I think there is quite a good chance they had knowledge that something was about to happen and they let it happen. No leader who has overseen a disaster on this scale can be trusted with responding to it; the UK kicked Chamberlain out when it was clear what he had done and the same must happen to Netanyahu.

Secondly, I'd have asked the question that Paul Bristow asked - how does what the Israeli government are doing make Israel more secure? How does it make anything better? If it doesn't do either of those things then why do them?

Finally, I would hope that smart people would recognize that it is the occupation that is driving this - boosting Hamas, and boosting the racists amongst the settlers who are actively trying to start a war that would make the current horrors about a thousand times worse. People like Ben-Gvir should be opposed by everyone.

So no mention of wiping out Palestinians nor of continued attacks upon them, nor Israeli martyrs nor the death of innocents. Hamas believe that they can keep killing and hoping for the Arab world to come rushing in. The reality is that Israel is the most powerful military in the region. If Israel wanted to push every person from Gaza over the border into Egypt and flatten Gaza they could do so. Similarly they could push every Palestinian in the West Bank into Jordan they could do so and not one Arab country could stop them without Israel removing them from the planet. That’s the reality. But they don’t do they, they know the UN is already against them anyway and no matter what they do they are the bad guys. I think that if this continues as is then within the next few years this is exactly what they will do. Hamas and their supporters really need to understand the reality…..
