Israel is a democratic nation state, so they are rightly expected to abide by international law. Hamas is a prescribed terrorist group, so whilst I’m sure we all wish they would, it’s hardly surprising they don’t.

For the record, I don’t think many people agree with the actions of Hamas, or deny that Israel has a right to retaliate for the attacks. I believe the issue lots of us have is the sheer scale and disregard for human life they are showing in doing so. They have managed to kill more children in three weeks than Russia has since it invaded Ukraine almost two years ago. That is staggering, and indicative of why they need to be reigned in by the international community, if at all possible.

Nobody wants to see this level of death. If Israel could get rid of Hamas without killing anyone else we would all cheer. Unfortunately these terrorists have buried themselves underneath hospitals and berthed in ordinary Palestinians homes. It’s like a cancer that somehow has to be removed. No one knows the answer, least of all the Israelis, but one way or another this cancer has to be removed …..

I've thought on this, saddam's been ousted, gaddafi also, slowly the murderous henchmen placed by the west have dried up and the chickens come home to roost. The big threat currently is sat in the west med doing a job that used to be done by lackeys. This expenditure reaches tipping point eventually, china and russia already have deep hooks in Africa long term, this battle for dominance isn't founded on the back of a castrated british empire anymore, it's a living breathing thing that'll turn it's head at the best offer, this is capitalism and the stakes are who can kill the most and get away with it.
Grim days of hurt pain and death ahead. And phones will get every angle. Despair.

Innocent people are just that though, Pete. There are ways and methods, this isn't it.
