I think the opposite tbh. He had a narrow window to use the leverage he has to broker a more peaceful path. He botched it and, most likely, whomever the Republican nominee is will point to the Middle East as an area that has worsened significantly during his Administration

All of the rhetoric, othering, calling Palestinians subhuman etc is a terrible harbinger. It's all part of the self-justificatory process.

For a state formed, in large part, out of the horrors of world war 2, that is genuinely disturbing.

When you have the US bringing warships to the area to facilitate your massacre and apologists like Starmer and Sunak defending genocide as your right to defend yourself, you will see yourself as ‘right’.

And yet if you attend a peaceful vigil or fly a Palestinian flag in support of civilians you are labelled a terrorist supporter
