Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

They are eradicating an entire Nation, while The West supports it.

It's honestly amazing, we just sit here and let it happen.

I used to think, how did Hitler manage to do what he did, how did half the world allow it to happen, then we have Ukraine and now this.

I would say something about the modern world and how evil it is, but truth be told, evil rings out all through history, the human race is just the worst.

"The belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary; men alone are quite capable of every wickedness." - J Conrad.

What still doesn't make sense is the comparative low level of damage the device caused. If you compare and contrast with areas hit by israel missiles/bombs youll see entire buildings are levelled, large craters and the like. The aftermath of the explosion in question shows now real impact on the surrounding buildings, the solar panels and roof tiles remain untouched etc. The few cars around the crater that were damaged look more like they caught fire and burnt out. Something clearly happened but apparently not of the scale of damage israel is inflicting, IMO. I guess we'll not get a definitive answer in the near future. That said, whatever it was there should be zero bombs or missiles being fired at civilians regardless of size.

I listened to an interview with a Security & Politics professor from I think Bath Uni. He reckoned it was either an anti-missile flare or another projectile used to shoot down rockets. Both would have high explosives.

The problem is there is so much ordinance in the air over Gaza it's unlikely to ever be resolved beyond doubt.

I honestly don't know the answer but there are bombs employed by the IDF that detonate above ground, leaving only a small divot in the ground and the incendiary part is shrapnel to take out living things and preserve infrastructure?

Thing is with any air burst detonation is the pressure/shock wave has to be taken into account. With air burst the 1st shockwave reflects off the ground and then meets the oncoming 2nd shockwave - this can increase the overall blast effect of the shockwave by a factor of twenty. It has much more area effect than a ground impact. So you would expect too see cars blasted everywhere, trees ripped apart and buildings damaged or destroyed.

As for shrapnel - well it’s indiscriminate by nature and it will embed itself everywhere - in cars, buildings, people.

Also you would expect to see remnants of the payload delivery at the impact site. Casing material etc…

Just can’t see that this was a bomb, arty round or air bust munition. It looks like a rocket with a small warhead has Exploded and ignited its own propellant and caused a blast/fireball.

Thank you for explaining, munitions obviously isn't my forte..
