A disingenuous view. Disarm and negate any future activity from Hamas but “ some kind of alternative future” for the Palestinians needs a bit more work.
Not having any land stolen against international law and not having your essential services controlled by others probably ought to be offered as a very minimum.

Unfortunately, while bibi is there at least, there is no alternative future. Hams could disappear tomorrow but the misery for the people of palestine would continue. There is absolutely no way Bibi allows a two-state solution, non at all. If he did it would mean international recognition for Palestine and then in turn their push for the return of homes and lands. This is what makes me laugh (cry) people like you and twattara going on about a two state solution like it is the answer, it isn't, it really isnt. All that happens and will happen is more settlements, land grabs and misery but it makes the apologists feel good.

The last sentence amounts to little more than a platitude.

Strangely, I see the stance on Irelan by Israel as akin to these nouveau football supporters who think the game started with the Premier League and Sky, like some posters here too. Absolutely no recognition or awareness of history relative to the subject. And, ironically nothing but 'ancient' history in regards to Israel's belonging to the land they occupy.

Yes, it does perhaps speak of a particular perspective. Who knows quite what they're picking up on in terms of what is actually happening.

However, in a sea of frothing rage and one sided shouting it is refreshing to see some acknowledgement of the complexity of the problem.

It also respectfully makes the point of feeling disappointed without reverting to calling folk nazis etc.
