Is WBA the biggest game of our season

Don't be like that mate it's a forum where you debate your opinions. Give us some facts about why Suarez is world class.

Basically this is the only place where I have seen someone label him not world ....list about beery forum, every expert, every non LFC supporter considers his one of the best players in the world...but here he his whole career is being judged based on 3 away games whe he hasn't scored despite performing quite well over all. Anyway this is the last thing I will post on this matter

We'll agree to disagree mate, I appreciate as a LFC fan it's hard for you to see it from another persepctive, you'll see in time that you were wrong.

Suarez is a top top talent

Imagine the impact he would have with some quality players providing for him

It's very hard to argue that Suarez isn't brilliant. He is. He's single-handedly keeping Liverpool in the top four hunt. He's improved this season by starting to grow up, too.

As painful as all that may be to admit, it's the truth.

lol how has he grown up mate, 6 months ago he was pushing to leave only when it became obvious he wasn't getting let go he came around, or you mean he hasn't racially abused or bit anyone for 20 games?

He still dives like like a trout going upstream, give it time his nasty piece of crap streak will come again sooner or later

I don't like Suarez and I don't like Liverpool in all honesty, but I'm trying my best to put that aside.

The fact is Liverpool are, like Everton, a huge club with a proud history, but like everton are not exactly in a golden era at the moment. Southall and Dalglish I would call world class because they've done it at the very top end but no current player of the merseyside clubs can say the same.

Lets be honest, both of us will probably end up fighting for a europa place, given the quality of the underperforming squads at Man U and Spurs, and given our league positions over the last three years, qualifying for the europa through the league would be a big step forward for both of us and a real acclompishment.

As such as I admrie the loyalty of guys like Baines and Suarez, and indeed le tissier, stayuing at clubs not in europe, there's a question mark over their ambition and mental attitude until they perform under the pressure of a really top club.

Which is why when certain of our fans called Fellaini and Baines world class, I couldn't agree, regardless of how well they were playing in the league because they're untested at that top level. You only have to look at Fellaini or Torres to see what can happen when even great players make that leap.

That's why I would put McManaman or Rooney, who have thrived under that additional pressure of being at a really top club, a little ahead of Suarez. Though I wouldn't bet against Suarez achieveing that level some day later, he's very talented and still young.

Is that unreasonable?

I will say that just because Suarez is untested at the top level, doesn't mean he'll fail if he gets there.

Look at Neymar or Bale or even Van Persie, who were also untested but made that step up gracefully.

It's entirely possible that in a few years time he'll be performing at a club on that level and be proving himself world class, without a doubt. I have no doubt he'd love to be able to work with and learn from truly world class players and managers, the way in his early career he could learn from the likes of Forlan and Huntelaar.

Just at the moment he's never experienced the pressure and expectation of leading the line for a team aiming to win the CL. And until he does and thrives in it he can't be called world class. And the 800 odd football people voting for the ballon d'or agree with me even if liverpool fans do not.

He's got 3 yellows and 0 reds in 18 matches this season.

I'm not pretending he's turned into a decent person. He's just not doing anything to get himself banned, more's the pity.

You do know mate that the only time in his career he has actually been sent off was during the world cup semi final for that hand ball?
His bans have all come for other reasons - Biting in Holland, Biting in England, racial abuse of a fellow player - England, all strangely missed by refs during the actual game ^^

His booking record is about 1 in 5 or thereabouts, about the same rate he is on for this year also, he hasn't changed and give it time and the nasty little turd will surface again, and cue a 9 game ban for biting, spitting, racism etc

The truth is he is having an unprecedented season in terms go goals scored in the PL. He is the fastest in history to reach 20 goals and is on course to reach 40 which will comfortably smash the PL record. That's approaching Messi and Ronaldo levels of consistency. Anyway this is the last thing I will post on this matter

Lots of potential, but he needs to be able to show that he can do it at the very highest level before he can be called world class. I'm not sure he'll get chance to show that ( playing at the very highest level that is ) while playing for Liverpool though, so it'll be interesting to see if he's happy to stay at Anfield or whether he has the ambition to move on and prove to everyone how good he actually is.

I reckon he got a 'give it your best and if we dont get champions league you can leave for a set price' speech mate from Brenton, Liverpool will probably ignore it if they dont get it like so will be a repeat of last season with him wanting to leave when they collapse second half of the season and finish in 7th

Well, let's hope so. Unfortunately, there's no sign of it at present.

2 pts total dropped by the top 6 in 2 weeks of football (Liverpool-Villa). I will be quite suprised if we finish 4th. The top 6 (and I'm assuming moyes will make a run) are just too good while the bottom 10 aren't good enough. If only 2pts for a win still existed we'd be boss (hell we'd be boss if a win was 5pts and a draw was 2pts).
