Are you on glue? Goodison will burn, we'll all turn into flesh-eating zombies and the end of the world will truly be nigh once Moyes - the Messiah - decides to call it a day with us.

I don't know how people can think we could get a better person as manager than Moyes at the moment. The truth is we don't have much money to spend, even if we do at all. Is there any other manager in English Football who has proven they can do as well with the restricted transfer funds that Moyes has had?
I can understand people being frustrated with his tactics sometimes. At times i've been livid with him, like in the Anfield Derbies and at Bolton last week for taking off Jelavic and bringing on Heitinga (it turned out that a lot of us were wrong about that, even if it was very lucky on Moyes behalf). But for every **** up he makes in certain games by negative tactics etc, this is far outweighed by his excellent signings with little money and getting the most out of his players each season. People need to take a step back and look at how far we've come under Moyes.
I'm 23 and this is easily the best squad we've had since I started following us from about 5 or 6 years old. How often in the 90's and early 2000's did we compete in games against the likes of United, Arsenal, Chelsea etc and beat them or run them close like we do now? When Moyes took over, we had a terrible squad. There is no point in comparing the team now to the title winning teams in the 80's and saying we're a long way off, because Moyes had to build a good team from scratch and there is a massive gulf in spending power between teams like us now and the likes of City, Chelsea and Man United, compared to teams in the 80's.
Everyone raves about players like Baines, Pienaar and Jagielka being in the team. Well it was Moyes who brought those players in and has let them develop into the players they are. Even certain players he has brought in that didn't stay, he still got everything out of them while they were here and sold them on for much more, Lescott being a perfect example.
We could always get rid of Moyes, a proven manager in the Premiership who has done well for years, and bring in a manager like Pardew, Martinez, Lambert or Rodgers who have had the odd good season as manager. Then we will see how well we cope with the limited funds available for transfers. I think it's fairly obvious that we would be on a slippery slope towards the drop and not challenging for a european place like we are under Moyes.

Take the piss all you want, let's see when we go through a string of managers who won't simply work for the bull****ters in charge now.
Once Moyes goes it will be down hill, then you can have a great old laugh at that too
you dont know that for sure, I expect there to be a drop in league positions for the first couple of seasons maybe around 8th place while the new manager puts together a new team to replace the ageing players but I also think without moyes we have a better chance of winning silverware.

There also wasn't a CM in english football as good as Fellaini or Arteta available or wingers in English football as good as Pienaar or Mirallas availabale for those prices.
Why the hell should we limit our search to those within english football when we've proven that the best bargains are from outside that bubble?
When Moyes does leave it will be abroad (Germany is the current best bet) and there is no way in hell that he would go to Chelski! Why would he leave a job he has been in for over 10 years just go and ruin his CV by getting sacked by Chelsea like every manager has been. Not to mention that a club like Chelsea would have to be pretty daft to hire a manager with no European experience - let alone success!!
People mentioning Celtic do they really think Lennon is on close to what moyes earns ? Even with his wages doubled last year I think he's probably on less a month than moyes' weekly wage so figure that out over 3-4 years.
Celtic aren't exactly big spending in the transfer market anyway but there is certainly no way I can see they'd even get close to moyes wages so I think we can probably dismiss them as an option .

Player Valuation: £225k
We are 5th in the Premier League, still in the FA Cup, in Baines and Fellani we have two of the best players in the league and good players in most other positions. We have 10 million Euros to spend on Fer, a talented young midfielder but his knee meant we rightly didn't go through with the deal, we have signed a talented young Eng Under 21 right back for 3 million.
Yes we are short in midfield, but we still have the money in the bank and can spend 6 months either scouting for a proper replacement for Fer or trying to resurrect the deal in the summer when Twente might be more willing to negotiate now the cat is out the bag with regards to the players knee.
Have to say, personally think Everton are making all the right moves, acting with common and business sense and not panicking. We need to make sure every player we sign is value for money and will deliver.
I get the feeling some supporters just want someone to buy the club and players to come in regardless of anything.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying that for the league we play in, Moyes has proven he can do a great job. Clearly there will be foreign managers that can do a good job in the Premier League but it would be a big risk to lose Moyes and take a gamble on an unproven manager in this league. And the ones that are proven at the top are hardly likely to come here are they? So who could we get that would do a better job?
