Is now the opportunity? Should Everton go for Iraola?

The future is a long time and is infinite.

So depends on what you mean

Is it better for DM to give us another year of not being relegation fodder and having yet another manager to chop and change this squad, getting us 58 points next season and looking like a club that knows what it's doing, OR

do we throw money at the next big thing, risking stability and let's say it doesn't pan out, we're back to being a dumpster fire of a club?

Look. I'm not saying I definitely want Moyes back. But we need to look at the pros and cons of getting rid of him this summer. Because given where we've been post-COVID, it would be a risk.

We don't want to find ourselves in another Koeman/Silva situation

It might just be that after 3 years of DM giving us comfortable mid-table to challenging for Europa league, we might be more attractive to the next big thing a few years from now
Moyes is already here pal, why would we want him back ?

This guy comes without paying his parent club off .....

I would love this to happen but I don’t think it will. Total guess but the fact he’s announced he’s leaving he probably already knows where he’s going and the manager is already in situ. Come the end of the season it’ll be announced where he’s off too. Hopefully it’s us but good things don’t happen to us

@Delargeinho said in another thread that his (Iraola) Dad has cancer and that he wants to be closer to his family in Spain. Since then the Athletic Club job has been taken and Chelsea rumours have started, though. Not discrediting @Delargeinho and his source here, just saying this could be quite complex. The world is smaller when you have money, maybe?
