Is Baines Irreplaceable

No-one is irreplaceable, but more often than not he's the heart of our main attacking outlet

TBH, if we're going to sell Banes, we may as well sell Pienaar as well. They bring the best out in one another, and are hugely compatible. Look at his torrid spell at Spurs, he needs Baines to get the best out of him.

We'd need to address our whole left side if we sell Bianes IMO.
Pienaar at his age won't fetch much of a transfer fee so not worth selling. Would be more value in keeping him around.

Not irreplaceable but United need to put £18+ million on the table or give it up. And Moyes knows this, losing respect for the guy.
Is he doing the bidding? I'd bet he hasn't got the full control he had here, and even then I'm not sure he was the one doing the bidding.

All managers give their board a list of targets, and they then go and get them. Or try to.

He is boss.

But not irreplaceable. Unless RM wants to get a Baines-lite type player and use that left wing as a source of creativity, then he would be irreplaceable.

The only way to replace a World Class player is with another World Class player, so in this case, Baines is irreplaceable.

Can we cope without him? Clearly, do we want to? Nope.

I hope not but if baines goes maybe bring back phil neville to play lb till we get someone was decent full back.

Please tell me you're not serious. Please.

Under Moyes...he was.

Under Martinez...no.

He's a left back FFS. How many teams in European football rely on their left back to be the most creative force in the side? Im sure we're the only one.

He's not irreplaceable. We just don't rely on a left back as much as we should and look elsewhere in the squad for creativity.

Is he a 20 a season striker? A player that's a matter of losing a game if he doesnt play? No.

He's just a top draw full back that could play for any of the top teams in the world.

A 20 a season striker is the most replaceable part of a team. Just get your midfield to score 10 more goals, and get a forward who can score 10 and create 10. Tada, problem solved.

Baines is of course close to irreplaceable but nothing can replace hard cold cash in this game.

Might not be doing the bidding but would think he would have enough respect for his ex-employers to put club through another Lescott saga. After all he had enough to say about Hughes and City at the time.

Really? Then I guess paying £30million+ for a striker is completely pointless.

Baines is an exceptional full back.

But I think we can all agree that for £18million we get a decent full back in who keeps the defence solid and buy some firepower, then Baines will be forgotten about.
