This footage is proof that the Tories weren't serious about negotiating with the EU at any point, and that the people of the North of Ireland who actually believed in the Tories were totally duped. I know what the green and orange stand for. But the Unionists don't see it like we do. Whether we like that or not, symbols will matter if we are to have a new country. The flag, reluctantly, will have to go. And if we can't accept that at this juncture, we haven't a prayer of accommodating both traditions in a new united country.
