He's pretty much spot on. Anyone who wants to know what the DUP are all about should read it, especially given where the author grew up - he knows what he is talking about.

The line referring to May which says "in exchange for keeping her in office, she gave the hard-line Unionists veto power over Brexit negotiations" is exactly why we are stuck where we are now, in case anyone didn't already know. It could be May's worst decision of her political career, as it could and probably will lead to the break up of the UK.

And don’t forget, because it is even more important in an NI context, the DUP also have a stranglehold on British government policty in the six counties.

And as the DUP are happier with direct rule than they are with sharing power that means the British government have totally abrogated all authority over there and there is no imperative on its behalf to facilitate the speedy return of the NI Executive.

This is an unbelievable sutuation May and her Brexit loving Cabinet have got themselves into.

They are letting the tail of a chihuahua wag the tail of a rottweiler.

It’s not mate
Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg pointed out that it would mean Britain continuing to abide by the four EU freedoms, including freedom of movement, as well as having no decision-making power in Brussels. “Then I should just ask why … should you leave the EU if you’re accepting that?” she said.

We’ve established that, as well as being able to opt out under certain provisions as paid out in the regulations under EEA arrangements

Still not a EU member though

Read what the Norway PM states.......
I would prefer the option for the two years as it's cheaper than the implementation period and we would be dfinately be out - @orly on March the 31st 2019 then the Remoaners like Blair and co can go away and the country can unite on leaving the EU who's overall growth last year was 0.2 percent.......

I no all about the regulations as I’m trying to point out to you. The bottom line is they are not a member of the EU no matter how you like to spin it

We were not asked how we wanted to leave Joe. Well, I wasnt.

And unless you dont know, @nsno-chris actually really knows what is going on in the back ground. He doesnt need to listen to LBC or Newsnight for his opinions/knowledge.

You were asked to vote - did you not watch one single debate on Brexit or read the £ 9 million leaflet........
So you voted totally blind to Remain then...?

No. I evaluated the issue, and decided staying in was better than voting for something I had no idea actually was. You fell for the tissues of lies spouted by Farage, Boris, and Rees Mogg.

Lies which are currently in tatters.

How can it be pedantic; I’ve already explained it 3 times. I’ll try again:
EEA/EFTA member - ability to opt out of the four pillars dependent on certain requirements
EU member - No ability to opt out

So it’s different and Norway are not an EU member
