For the most part Intel and technology. In the case of the US there’s also the Jewish voting lobby.

I’d say 75% of the source intel relating to Jihadi attacks in Europe is sourced from Israel. Without it there’d be a lot more attacks.

As for technology - Israel is a hub for R&D not just in the defence industry but also in the medical equipment communications and gaming industries. Lots of links there to foreign governments for general trade and commerce as well as political lobbying.

Is it, though?

Is it, though?
Apparently so. I was shocked at the level myself, but when you analyse it - it makes sense due to Israel’s location and its intelligence gathering capabilities in the region. Plus it has access to something most other Intel gathering nations do not and that is HUMINT.

There are protocols setup for the exchange of intel between Israel the European CTG, UK’s SIS and MI5 and also with other nations intel agencies such as CIA and NSA.

ISW Key Takeaways:
  • Iran: Iran is likely engaging in a coordinated information effort to deter an Israeli strike targeting its nuclear facilities and reassure its domestic population about Iran’s ability to protect such facilities.
  • An unnamed senior US official told ABC News that Israel is unlikely to retaliate against Iran until after the Passover holiday.
  • Yemen: Houthi leader Abdulmalik al Houthi claimed that the Houthi attacks on commercial shipping have extended “from the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean.”
  • Northern Gaza Strip: The IDF Air Force struck Palestinian fighters and military infrastructure in the northern Gaza Strip.
  • Central Gaza Strip: The IDF concluded a week-long operation targeting Palestinian fighters and military infrastructure near Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip.
  • Political Negotiations: Hamas Deputy Political Bureau head Musa Abu Marzouk said that Hamas will not withdraw from ceasefire negotiations or drop its maximalist demands, which include a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
  • West Bank: Israeli forces engaged Palestinian fighters in at least two locations in the West Bank.
  • Southern Lebanon and Golan Heights: Lebanese Hezbollah conducted at least nine attacks from southern Lebanon into northern Israel.
  • Iraq: The Iraqi government and private sector signed 14 memoranda of understanding (MOU), primarily in energy and finance, with US companies.

Gaza Strip

Axis of Resistance objectives:

  • Erode the will of the Israeli political establishment and public to sustain clearing operations in the Gaza Strip
  • Reestablish Hamas as the governing authority in the Gaza Strip

If the Israeli intelligence is so brilliant, it's hard not to believe that they must have known about the hamas attack.
Anyone who's been to Israel would be well aware of the levels of security everywhere, beaches have IDF sunbathing and playing beach volleyball, but always with their various armaments close to hand. A fairly major concert with little to no security...yeh sure.

What sanctions do the west have on Syrians not returning home? Honest question, because I would not have thought that any country would be against people going home to the country that they hail from.

But more to do with giving Assad a bigger role in Irans game.
