Earlier this week a football agent was on Sirius XM's "The Football Show" and was discussing the January transfer window. With respect to Everton, he said that we wouldn't have the money to spend in January, but he had it on good authority that there will be a money influx this summer. I can't remember the agent's name though

Who We Are
Forbes Hare is an independent law firm practising British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands law. Our core practice areas are litigation, insolvency, corporate, finance and commercial law.

Practice Overview

We have an experienced litigation team which is able to assist in contentious matters of practically any nature. The majority of work we undertake involves, in one way or another, disputes involving offshore structures and entities in the British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands. Much of our work has cross-border elements. While our primary markets are the BVI and Cayman Islands, we are also able to assist in cases involving other common law Caribbean jurisdictions where we have lawyers locally admitted and/or relationships with local firms.

We have a broad-based corporate insolvency practice, and act for creditors, debtors and office holders in a variety of insolvency and restructuring situations. We have considerable familiarity with the use of insolvency remedies in fraud and asset tracing exercises, and in shareholder disputes.

We have a cross-departmental distressed funds group, and regularly advise stakeholders and functionaries of all types in relation to their rights, obligations and available options. We have advised and acted in relation to insolvent hedge funds and private equity funds, both in relation to their restructuring, and on behalf of liquidators of such funds.

Our corporate and commercial team offers a broad range of legal services across the spectrum of corporate and corporate finance work, both transactional and structuring. Our clients include corporations of all sizes, sovereign and private financial institutions, private equity groups and investment funds.

We have significant local business practices in both the BVI and the Cayman Islands, advising on a range of matters including commercial law, regulatory work, real estate, and employment.

Finally, we have a private client capability in both jurisdictions which includes advising on offshore trust structuring for high net worth individuals, as well as advising professional trustees, settlors and beneficiaries in relation to their rights and obligations under trust instruments.

Forbes Hare is part of the Forbes Hare Group, which provides clients of the law firm with a range of offshore company and trust formation and administration services.

We are able to provide most of our services in English or Spanish.

For more information please contact William Hare or our Marketing Manager, Emma Drysdale.

Sounds just like the operations of a city law firm but in the cayman islands, nothing dodgy there. I imagine it's the M&A division from the commercial department and the corporate finance department advising the takeover if it is in motion.

how do you know this my tattooed mate?

Just something I heard from a mate in the US, who met (business related) with someone from FH, who apparently are representing the potential investor/investors.

All I know is that they are actively pursuing the deal, and have been for some time. No more info than that I'm afraid

Ok fair enough, i don't want Vince in.

Best get the million dollar princess in instead.

**** me .. is that what wassername McMahon looks like now ... nips out for the olive oil

I doubt very seriously any investment in this business climate. If I was a betting man next to zilch.

The cards are stacked against any profit unless someone wants a tax write off. Oil and natural gas barons perhaps.

Interesting what Moyes was saying today. If we finish 4th he's expecting a lot of money to spend for at least a couple of seasons. He said that the last time we qualified for the CL we were suddenly being offered a whole new calibre of player. He knows that the TV money is going up next year so it sounds like he's waiting to see whether Bill lets him spend it before committing to a new contract. It suits us.
