I didn't say anything about boardroom, I'm talking coaches - just because someone comes in doesn't make the physio/reserve coach bad at their job etc.

If you buy certain houses, there are conditions about what you can & can't do to it.

If I come in and say to you, I'll buy your house and I'm going to rip up the garden you spent 100 hours in making perfect, you'd be perfectly entitled to tell me to knob off and reject any bid. Saying that, I can't buy your house and you demand to stay in it either ;)

We should stick with our lot who have the good of the club in mind by providing zero investment and setting their share ownership up in offshore finance vehicles to avoid capital gains tax when they eventually sell up for an outrageous amount.

most of the reds I know, want rid of them.

Most football intelligent fans in the world right?

Quite frankly the current ownership can only be accused at the very most of being Naive, which coming into a new sport is fair enough. Everyone raved about Dalglish being the King and so they gave him a **** ton of money to play around with and the fella wasted it. Team did poorly, so they got him out of there. And they are backing Brenny aswell, yet aren't going to extent of throwing the clubs to the dogs. Thats pretty good going right there. Any liverpool fan who blames the current ownership for the lack of success with the club, is just simply talking out of their arse.

Fair points, I generally don't follow what they're doing. Seems you've paid more attention that me.

Not trying to be negative, just seen way too many takeovers turn out crap to want just anyone at the club.

exactly their owners couldnt really have done anymore, it was daglish who messed it all up but they dont want to blame him so blame it on the "previous regime".

I heard it was a bidding war between Wayne Enterprises and Stark Enterprises, Dont know how much each of them has but I would like Tony Stark to own us.

They have joint ventures these days anyway....

Theyre not, Kenwrights plans just take a while - its all about paying debts and progressing from there.

I'm not anti Kenwright but the problem is we keep on hitting a glass ceiling on what we can afford to pay on wages.

Until we get:

  • new owners
  • a new stadium
  • outside investment
  • or manage to qualify for the Champions League

we're going to keep on hitting our limit on what we can pay in wages, start incurring debt and have to sell one of our key players.

We need something, and the current board seem incapable of providing the first 3 options so I'm hoping we can sneak in to the Champions League.

That in itself may attract bids for the club and it'd help raise the profile of the club.

O'Keeffe from the Echo had a live webchat today and said the board's current 'plan' is to emulate the success Porto and Bilbao have had with a 'player trading' model.

Yeah, that's the polishing a turd policy that passes for a way forward from our esteemed major shareholders.
